SIRS VISION

Individuals with disabilities will have equal opportunities for employment, recreation and living.

We partner in our communities to provide services to support full inclusion and maximum independence for individuals with disabilities.

SIRS VALUES

Economic Self-Sufficiency: All persons with disabilities must be paid for work completed at the same wages and with the same benefits as others doing the same job.
Integration: All individuals with disabilities fully share the right to access and participate in their communities.

Choice: All individuals with disabilities share the right to choose careers, lifestyles, and friends.

Competence: All individuals with disabilities can learn the skills they need to do meaningful work, have a fulfilling lifestyle, and build relationships.

Respect: The design of supports must promote independence and utilize naturally inherent systems when working with individuals with disabilities in community-based and fully integrated environments.

Responsibility: All individuals with disabilities can take risks, learn from natural consequences and take responsibility for their own actions.

Empowerment:
All individuals with disabilities can and should participate in their own job development, design of support services, and evaluation of programs.

Community Support:
Employers, community members, family, and significant others will contribute to the inclusion of individuals with disabilities.

INCLUSION
