CARF Survey scheduled for June

Southern Indiana Resource Solutions, Inc. (SIRS) will be surveyed by CARF on June 26th, 27th, and 28th as part of their accreditation process.  SIRS invited CARF to send a team of professionals to visit its sites and evaluate services for quality.  The surveyors review records and policies, consult with staff members, and interview people served and other involved community members..  Based on the surveyors’ review, SIRS may be awarded CARF accreditation for one or three years.  SIRS has received the highest CARF accreditation possible beginning in 1996 and has continued to receive a 3 year accreditation to date.

CARF is an international, not-for-profit organization that accredits human service providers.  Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities, the accrediting body is now known as CARF.  The CARF accreditation demonstrates a provider has met quality standards of service. CARF establishes standards to guide providers in offering quality services and outcomes.  CARF uses these national standards to evaluate how well a provider is serving people and how it can improve.

Southern Indiana Resource Solutions, Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to enriching the quality of life of persons with disabilities.  SIRS’ vision is that individuals with disabilities will have equal opportunity for employment, recreation, and living.
