FAQ’s about Seeking Employment

Who is eligible for JOBS+?

Individuals must have a disabling condition.

Persons eligible for vocational rehabilitation services include

  • persons who have a physical or mental impairment;
  • persons whose impairment constitutes or results in a substantial impediment to employment;
  • persons who can benefit in terms of an employment outcome from the provision of vocational rehabilitation services and
  • persons who require services to help prepare for gainful employment

 How am I found eligible?

 JOBS+ does not determine your eligibility.   We can provide some assistance as to whether or not it is likely you would qualify.   The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation is the state agency that determines eligibility for services.   Vocational Rehabilitation is a State-Federal partnership program established in 1920 and has evolved into an employment program which serves any eligible Hoosier with a disability who wants to find or return to work.

You can find your local Office of Vocational Rehabilitation by calling:

Jasper Office, 812-482-4648    Toll Free 1-877-847-9896
