DEVELOPMENTAL SCREENING

Twenty-five to 30 months old

♥   If your child is 25 to 30 months old, please answer the following questions with a yes or no response:

  1. Does your child put two words together when she speaks, such as “want drink” and “get down”?   (Do not count “thank-you” or “bye-bye”.)
  2. If you asked your child to point to these body parts one at a time on YOUR body – eye, ear, noise, mouth, hand, foot, tummy, hair – would your child point to all eight parts correctly?
  3. If your child sees a picture of a cat, bird, dog, person, or horse would they be able to name at least one of them correctly without prompting from you? (If you have a pet bird and your child says the name of the bird, count it as yes.   If the child makes the pet’s sound, like barking or meowing, count it as no.)
  4. Without letting your child take a running jump, tell him to jump over a piece of paper on the floor.   Did he get both feet off the floor at once when trying to jump over the paper?
  5. Can your child put on any of her own clothing such as shoes, pants, or T-shirt?
  6. Does your child run well?
  7. Is your child able to feed herself?
  8. Will your child help you carry things and put the items away?
  9. Will your child give his full name when asked?
