Barb Goffinet Receives the INAPSE Professional Award

Barb Goffinet receives the Professional Award at Indiana’s Association for Persons in Supported Employment (INAPSE). The Professional Award is given to a highly effective professional who demonstrates trustworthiness, respectfulness, supportiveness and innovation in their interactions with individuals with disabilities, as well as with their friends, family members and employers. Mrs. Goffinet received this award on December 7, 2006 at the 16th Annual INAPSE conference.

Ms. Parr, Team Leader at SIRS, who submitted the nomination said this about Mrs. Goffinet, “Barb works tirelessly for the people she serves by finding gainful employment that fits each person’s needs.” Upon receiving the award, Barb stated she was “overwhelmed to have received the Presidential Award. I am really honored to be recognized by the SIRS team and by the state of Indiana.”

Mrs. Goffinet has worked for JOBS+, a division of Southern Indiana Resource Solutions, Inc. (SIRS) as a Community Resource Specialist (CRS) for 10 years. Barb’s role as CRS is to find employment for individuals enrolled in JOBS+. She is a Perry County native and resides near Tell City with her husband Alan.
